The University had an ageing Access Control System that needed to be changed or upgraded to allow communication via their IT network and migrate to the latest card technologies.
Our Solution
WOT proposed an upgrade path to migrate the entire Access Control System to the latest IP technology controllers, allowing new projects & buildings to be connected via the IT network, rather than costly dedicated hard wired links. This solution also allowed for the further integration of cost effective Wireless Access Control locks with real time updates and audits. The latest student accommodation block was therefore able to utilise card technology rather than keys, this enabled ease of transition when students changed, rather than lock changes due to non return of keys.
